About this role

Interested in working on cutting-edge blockchain technology and creating equitable access to the global financial system? Since 2014, the mission-driven team at the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) has helped fuel the tremendous growth of the Stellar blockchain network, an open-source platform that operates at high-scale today. Developers and companies around the world build on it, and the SDF team is expanding to support the rapidly growing and changing Stellar ecosystem.

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who is passionate about building an organization’s business intelligence and ability to make data-driven decisions.

You'll shape our analytics and measurement strategy from the ground up, bring structure to ambiguous problems, and translate complex data into narratives that drive action at the executive level. You'll sit at the intersection of business strategy and data, working directly with leadership and cross-functional teams to define what we measure, why it matters, and what to do about it. You'll lead large-scale analytics initiatives end-to-end, all while helping build the habits and infrastructure of a truly data-driven culture.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner directly with department leads and executives to define measurement frameworks, KPIs, and success criteria that align analytics work to business priorities

  • Own and present regular insights to senior leadership - distilling complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations that inform strategic decisions

  • Shape our analytics roadmap and measurement strategy, establishing standards for how we define, track, and communicate performance across the organization

  • Champion a data-driven culture by making insights accessible, building self-serve reporting capabilities, and raising analytical fluency across teams

You have:

  • 4–6+ years of experience in an analytics or business intelligence role, with progressive ownership of strategic initiatives

  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect analytical work to business outcomes

  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills with proven experience presenting to and influencing executive audiences - you can turn a messy dataset into a clear, actionable narrative.

  • Track record of building trusted partnerships with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Deep SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with large, complex datasets as well as familiarity with dbt, Git, and data modeling best practices.

  • Experience with modern BI tools (e.g., Omni, Looker, Tableau etc.)

  • Curiosity, high agency, and a bias toward ownership.

Bonus Points if:

  • Prior experience with Python/R

  • Prior experience in or knowledge of web3/crypto industry

  • Prior exposure to web3 analytics and data providers like Dune, Artemis, Nansen etc

Not sure if you meet every requirement? That’s okay. If you’re passionate about analytics, eager to learn, and excited by the role, we’d love to hear from you. We’re always looking for curious, driven people to grow with us.

We offer competitive pay with a base salary range for this position of $135,000 - $175,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, we offer lumen-denominated grants along with the following perks and benefits:

USA Benefits/Perks:

  • Flexible time off + 15 company holidays including a company-wide holiday break

  • Generous paid parental leave for all parents, plus paid pregnancy disability leave for birthing parents

  • Gym reimbursement ($80 per month)

  • Life & ADD (up to $50K)

  • Short & Long term disability

  • 401K with 4% match

  • Health & Dependent Care FSA Accounts

  • Commuter benefits with $250/month employer contribution
