About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced KYB Specialist to support merchant onboarding and business verification within Mercuryo's rapidly growing crypto payments infrastructure.

This role sits at the center of our FinCrime operations, ensuring all merchants are onboarded with the highest level of regulatory integrity, operational efficiency, and risk awareness.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough KYB reviews, processing complex onboarding cases, and ensuring all KYB procedures meet global AML and regulatory standards.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, operationally minded professional who thrives in fast-paced fintech environments and maintains an exceptional eye for risk and compliance.


Your Role:

  • Conduct end-to-end KYB reviews for merchants, including UBO identification, corporate structure analysis, and document verification.
  • Process onboarding cases across a range of risk profiles, including high-risk industries and complex corporate structures.
  • Ensure all onboarding decisions comply with internal policies, AML frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain rigorous quality and accuracy across all KYB reviews within established SLA targets.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the KYB Lead or Compliance team as appropriate.
  • Contribute to operational reporting and flag patterns or issues in merchant risk profiles.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date procedure documentation.
  • Stay current with evolving regulatory frameworks affecting crypto, fintech, and payments.
  • Collaborate closely with Compliance, Fraud, Transaction Monitoring, Customer Success, and Sales teams to ensure smooth merchant onboarding.


What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in KYB / AML / Compliance operations.
  • Experience within crypto, fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • Hands-on experience reviewing corporate structures, UBO chains, and onboarding documentation.
  • Strong understanding of AML regulations and KYB frameworks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage workload in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong risk assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
