Crypto.com is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to lead and strengthen its regulatory compliance framework as defined by MFSA ‘s Chapter 3 of The Financial Institutions Rulebook (section R3-2.7.34 of the FIR/03 Rules applicable to financial institutions issuing electronic money) as well as The Markets in Crypto-Assets Rulebook (section R2-2.4.4. of the rules applicable to entities within scope of the Markets in Crypto-Assets Act.) Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to submit a Personal Questionnaire to the MFSA for fitness and properness assessment.
This is a senior leadership role for a compliance professional who can combine strategic judgement with hands-on execution. You will work closely with the Group Chief Compliance Officer, the local Boards, Legal, Product, Operations, Technology, IT Security, Risk and Finance teams to ensure the business operates within a clear and sustainable regulatory framework.
You will help position Compliance as a trusted partner to the business protecting customers, maintaining regulatory confidence and enabling responsible innovation across Europe.

Requirements
- 12+ years of regulatory compliance experience in fintech, payments, VASP/CASP, digital assets or comparable regulated financial services.
- Strong knowledge of MiCA, EMI, DORA and applicable MFSA requirements.
- Experience engaging with European regulators, preferably the MFSA, including RFIs, inspections, licensing or authorisation applications.
- Demonstrable experience leading a DORA implementation programme and coordinating regulatory inspections.
- Proven ability to lead multi-jurisdictional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including regulator- and Board-facing documentation.
- High integrity, independent judgement and the confidence to challenge constructively.
- Eligibility to satisfy applicable MFSA fit-and-proper and Key Function Holder requirements.
