On-Chain Data Analysts extract insights from blockchain data to inform product decisions, track protocol health, and identify market trends. They work with tools like Dune Analytics, The Graph, and custom data pipelines to make sense of the transparent but complex world of on-chain data.
Key Responsibilities
- Build dashboards and reports to track protocol metrics, TVL, and user behavior
- Analyze on-chain data to identify trends, anomalies, and growth opportunities
- Create SQL queries and data models using Dune Analytics or similar platforms
- Develop automated alerts and monitoring for protocol health metrics
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to inform roadmap decisions
- Research competitor protocols and market dynamics through on-chain analysis
Requirements
- 2+ years of data analysis experience with SQL and Python
- Proficiency with blockchain data tools (Dune Analytics, Flipside, The Graph)
- Understanding of DeFi protocols, token economics, and on-chain metrics
- Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard creation
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate insights clearly
